Save the date: One Billion Rising in Bitburg

On Valentine's Day, February 14, the worldwide campaign "One Billion Rising" will take place again this year, inviting one billion women - and men - to go out, dance and raise their voices for an end to violence against girls and women. Why one billion? One out of three women worldwide has been a victim of some form of violence in her life - that's about one billion women in total. We want to rise up against this and show that we do not accept this as an unalterable fact. In Bitburg, too, there are protests again at the “Spittel” (pedestrian zone). We will meet there on 14 February 2020 at 1 pm and demonstrate with a dance for the equality, security and freedom of girls and women. With a delicious cup of tea from the TEA SHOP of the European Vocational Training Centre there will also be time for conversation. We are looking forward to many dancers!

The event is organized by the equal opportunities officers of the city of Bitburg and the Eifelkreis in cooperation with the MuKi Tanzstudio Miranda Goebels, Mrs. Sporty, the drum group "Akina Tambo", Donum Vitae Bitburg and the Euro-BBW.
