European Week 2019


Last week, the European Week 2019 took place all over Germany, and the European Vocational Training Centre also took part and presented different projects referring to Europe.

The department „culinary arts“ was involved in every European week during the last years and indulged us with lovely dishes from different European countries. And also this year it has come up with a bright idea: Under the instruction of their trainer Doris Lenz our future housekeepers have dealt with Italian cooking and developed a baking mix for „Tomato Ciabatta“. Besides a careful packaging and decoration of the product, the two participants Sabrina G. and Sina H. have also provided for the labelling and the baking instruction; thus they could extend their IT knowledge. The baking mixes are now available at our Tea and Eifel Shop.

Also the menu of our canteen and our Bistro „Finesse“ were themed „Europe“. Our chef, Uwe Fusenig, indulged us with different national meals from France, Italy, Switzerland and Croatia.
